About Pete Hohenhaus: Pete works with Meritide, Inc., consulting in the Twin Cities as its primary Microsoft solution lead, emphasizing solutions around Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and Performance Point Server 2007.  Pete's background includes many years deploying Cognos, Business Objects, and Brio solutions at Gateway Computer, Freightliner, Norwest Bank, Bank of America, etc.  Since 2000, Pete has worked almost exclusively in the Microsoft stack, introducing and deploying Analysis Services, Reporting Services, ProClarity, and/or SharePoint at projects for Capital One Auto Finance, HP's Printer Division, and the Idaho State Department of Education, among others.  Most recently, before joining Meritide, Pete spent the last three years designing and deploying SuperValu's nationwide MOSS/SharePoint environments, as well as it Reporting Services deployment, and immediately before that designed Micron Semiconductor's Fabrication 1 Division SharePoint structure.  Pete is an honors economics graduate from the University of Minnesota, with an MBA from St. Thomas College.  From 1991 to 1996, Pete taught as an adjunct instructor in that St. Thomas program in the applied managerial economics and information resource management curriculums.

Like the dashboard of your car, an executive dashboard can provide a quick reading of how your organization is performing in key areas.  Microsoft Office Performance Point Server 2007 - Microsoft's solution for performance management - provides tools to easily build scorecards and dashboards and deploy them to a SharePoint site. This presentation will introduce the process of building a dashboard with the Monitoring and Analytics components of PerformancePoint Server. We will explore the building blocks of a dashboard; KPIs, reports and scorecards and provide some insights on how to use the tools most effectively.
About Teresa Nowak: Teresa has worked with OLAP, reporting and Business Intelligence solutions for the past 13 years and is currently a consultant with Digineer, Inc.. Teresa's experience includes support, QA, consulting, pre-sales and training. Currently, Teresa is focused on the Microsoft BI applications including Analysis Services, Reporting Services, and PerformancePoint. Teresa has Microsoft certifications in SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence and Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007. She also contributed content to the white paper "Empowering Enterprise Solutions with SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition".
