Not much hoopla this year over the one year anniversary of Vista. In fact, when I was part of the Microsoft Foots program last year which allowed me to talk to customers at a popular Best Buy in Orlando, FL there was no excitement with customers when I showed them all the new features of Vista along with the new version of Microsoft Office 2007. I've been in IT now for about 5 years (2 years studying, 3 working). This is a very masculine field and, though I have often talked about it with colleagues (both male and female), the truth is that I have never been the object of any ironic remarks or felt I was being discriminated in any way, except for this week!
