So, I am back from DevConnections and I know that I haven't posted about all of the sessions that I attended, but I plan to. I am just trying to catch up with life that continued at home while I was having fun in Las Vegas.
Nevertheless, I was very impressed with the conference as a whole. I got to see some very interesting presentations and some very good presenters such as Dino Esposito, Michelle Leroux Bustamante, Bill Evjen, and more.
Most of the sessions I attended were more along the lines of things I see today or I have a need for. Things like Migrating 1.1 to 2.0, MSBuild, New Controls to ASP.NET, and the like. I did attend a couple of sessions about Team System. I can say that I am excited about TS, and I think it will be a great product for a few of the companies I know intimately, but I think it will be a challenge to get it implemented.
For example. I am currently working a contract at a very large company where TS would fit like a glove, but the major challange for this customer is that they are on such a tight schedule with their releases that they would not have the ability to take a few weeks of down time to implement TS. Which is a shame. I am sure in the long run it would actually make them more effective and efficient.
Anyhow, I will try to get some session notes posted here in the next few days so that I can give you the low down on what I was able to pick up.
